The Generous Wife tip - Share beautiful experiences

Excellent advice from Lori today. Find something special to do with your hubby. Shared experiences are part of the glue that holds marriages together. Read on to see what Lori has to say:

Hi all,
As you know, hubby and I ran away for our 24th anniversary. I have to share a really fun experience and then make a tip of it (an occupational hazard). :)
I have a bucket list (those things that I'd love to do before I "kick the bucket"). I love all things mechanical and have always found helicopters fascinating. I've also always wanted to see the Grand Canyon (I have been "by" it many times, just not able to stop and really see it). Well, my husband got a bit extravagant and snagged a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon for us. It was so incredible. Words cannot share the beauty and grandeur of the experience. I think Paul enjoyed watching me more than the tour - I was just like a little kid - the Grand Canyon AND A HELICOPTER RIDE - WOOT! It was incredible!
At any rate, (here comes the tip) you don't have to have a helicopter or the Grand Canyon to get the same benefit (though I would seriously recommend it to those who can do so). There are many experiences the world over that can offer you and your husband that kind of closeness and experience of beauty. It's the shared experience of beauty that is key here. What do you both love? Where is the beauty in your part of the world? Sneak away for a sunset. Hike through a nearby forest. Think a bit outside of box and look at your options.

Never lose an opportunity to see anything that is beautiful. It is God's handwriting - a wayside sacrament. Welcome it in every fair face, every fair sky, every fair flower. Ralph Waldo Emerson
