When you husband gets sick (or life's circumstances make normal life for him difficult), I encourage you to do likewise. Baby him and make things easier for him. Take up some of the slack around the house and help him ease through the difficulty.
(Sorry, I couldn't find any good slug quotes. You would think that someone would have said something nice about a slug at least once in history. Apparently not. So, a kindness quote will have to do.)
