Monday December 15, 2008

It snowed today where we live.  For us, that's pretty unusual, so we were all excited, enjoying the delicate beauty of snowflakes and the general fun of having white stuff (instead of the usual grey, sloppy wet weather).  The holiday season is full of such moments, where something beautiful, special or unexpected happens.  Be on the look out for those moments, set everything down and share them with your husband (family and friends too).  They make for good memories and wonderful moments of intimacy shared.

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so?  [Christmas] came without ribbons.  It came without tags.  It came without packages, boxes or bags.  And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore.  Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.  What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.  What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more. Dr. Seuss
